In September, the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continued its active work to support enterprises in the industry, interact with government agencies, and promote the interests of domestic manufacturers.
KEY EVENTS OF THE MONTH
September 10
Meyram Pshembaev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, met with Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They discussed issues of legislative regulation and systemic measures to support the machine-building industry.
September 10
Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association Yerkanat Makanov and Executive Director Talgat Bazarbekov met with Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yevgeny Bolgert. They discussed amendments to a number of draft laws, including the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Industrial Policy” and “On Education” (in terms of the development of dual education), as well as the Entrepreneurial and Environmental Codes of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
September 11
Meyram Pshembaev, Chairman of the Board of the Association, held a meeting with Yersayin Nagaspayev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on issues related to supporting the machine-building industry.
September 19
An online meeting of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry was held. New regulations on regional representatives were approved, draft amendments to the Union's charter developed on the basis of the decision of the General Meeting of Participants on July 16, 2025 were reviewed, and the issue of agreeing on candidates from enterprises in the industry to be nominated for state awards on Machine Builder's Day was discussed.

September 22
Arman Galimov, Deputy Executive Director of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, delivered a presentation at the discussion section of the conference “National Project for the Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sectors: Opportunities for Kazakhstani Business” on the opportunities for enterprises in the industry.

September 26
A solemn ceremony dedicated to Machine Builder's Day was held at the Ministry of Railways of Kazakhstan. Sixty-four industry workers were awarded state honors. On the recommendation of the Union, 39 industry specialists received the Order of Kurmet and Enbek Danky III degree, the Eren Enbegi Ushin medal, and the Kurmet Machine Builder badge.


WORKING WITH REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
Four meetings with regional representatives were held in September.
Topics and issues discussed:
1. Current status of the formation of the Register of Domestic Commodity Producers.
2. Cloud storage infrastructure of QazCloud LLP.
3. Pension annuity issues.
4. Presentation of the activities of Asiafilter Inc. LLP.
5. Presentation of the activities of Venture Firm Poisk LLP.
6. Presentation of the activities of Ust-Kamenogorsk Condenser Plant LLP.
7. Cooperation between business and science.
8. Information on the work done by the AKMI.
WORKING WITH GOVERNMENT, QUASI-GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER AGENCIES
Meetings were held with the State Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the rules for changing the deadline for paying value added tax on imported goods, except for goods imported from the territory of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (raw materials and supplies) used by domestic commodity producers in the production of finished products. An agreement was reached on the application of a uniform 12-month deferral period for taxpayers included in the register of Kazakhstani commodity producers, which is compiled by the authorized body in the field of state industrial promotion. Work is underway with the Ministry of Railways of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to compile a list of goods intended for production, as well as taxpayers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Participated in discussions at the Ak Zhol party platform on the formation of a register of domestic commodity producers with the participation of the Ministry of Railways of Kazakhstan, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, industry associations, and domestic commodity producers.
Work continues with government agencies to implement the recommendations developed following the 12th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan, which address issues such as: ensuring domestic raw materials; introducing a National Industrial Information System; ensuring the participation of OTPs in the implementation of the National Project for the modernization of the energy and utilities sectors; increasing labor productivity through the adoption of a policy document aimed at introducing industrial robotics, stimulating the production of equipment and automation tools for priority sectors of the economy, and more.
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continues to support domestic enterprises in expanding partnerships, entering new markets, presenting domestic products on the international arena, learning about new technologies and modern industrial solutions, and strengthening Kazakhstan's image as a reliable business partner.
On September 5, Talgat Bazarbekov, Director of the Executive Directorate of the Association, met with representatives of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazakhstan. They discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, the development of joint production, and participation in the import substitution program in the field of machine building.

The BICES 2025 international exhibition of construction machinery and equipment was held in Beijing on September 23-26.
The Kazakh delegation included Talgat Bazarbekov, Director of the Executive Directorate, as well as heads of member companies of the Association – Almaty Heavy Machinery Plant JSC, Astana Electrical Engineering Plant LLP, QSM Resources LLP, Kazakhselmash Corporation LLP, and others.
As part of the business program, a meeting was held with the president of the Machinery Manufacturing Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on expanding cooperation with CCPIT.
On September 30, an online meeting was held with ITALY4TRADE INTERNATIONAL S.R.L. The prospects for business internationalization, the implementation of joint projects, and the strengthening of ties between enterprises in Kazakhstan and Italy were discussed.
The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continues its systematic work to develop the industry, support enterprises, and strengthen the position of domestic machine building in the domestic and international markets.
