Results of the work of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry for April 2026

In April, the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry  continued its systematic efforts to develop and support enterprises in the industry, engage with government agencies, and implement initiatives aimed at stimulating production activity and expanding cooperation.


KEY EVENTS OF THE MONTH


April 1

Official opening of the 7th International specialized exhibition on machine building and metalworking, Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026.

The opening ceremony was attended by SMK Board Chairman Meyram Pshembaev and Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ersayin Nagaspayev.

The exhibition took place from April 1 to 3 over an area of more than 10,000 m². The event was attended by over 280 companies from 24 countries, which presented their cutting-edge developments and technological solutions in the field of mechanical engineering and metalworking.


April 2–3 

The 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures was held on the topic: “Robotization and Advanced Technologies – Prospects for the Development of Kazakhstan’s Machine Building Industry,” which became a key event for the country’s manufacturing sector.

The forum reaffirmed its status as the primary platform for dialogue between government agencies and the business community, bringing together over 1,300 delegates from more than 20 countries worldwide.


WORK WITH REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES


In April, four meetings were held to discuss key topics and issues:

1. Technical issues regarding the Register of Kazakhstani Goods Producers

2. State support measures provided by JSC “Development Bank of Kazakhstan.”

3. State support measures provided by JSC “Industrial Development Fund.”

4. Issues regarding the inclusion of goods in the AGSK-3 List and the KTP Registry as part of the National Project “Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sectors.”

5. Presentation of the activities of StalZink LLP, TIMG LLP, and Atyrau Carriage Building Plant LLP.

6. Information on the work carried out by the Association.

 


WORK WITH GOVERNMENT, QUASI-GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER BODIES

 

  1. In collaboration with the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, work is underway on a draft law regarding mechanical engineering (criteria for categorizing business entities, a mechanism for appealing pilot industrial tests, the conclusion of off-take contracts within the framework of the Law “On Industrial Policy,” and dual education).
  2. Work continues to improve the operational mechanisms of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers within the Sectoral Commission on Mechanical Engineering, with the aim of creating the most transparent and user-friendly tool for domestic manufacturers.
  3. A series of working meetings was held with the management of JSC “Kazcenter for Modernization and Development of Housing and Utilities” on issues related to the further implementation of the MEX National Project.
  4. Work is underway with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on assigning AGSK-3 codes within the framework of the KTP Registry for participation in the MEX National Project.
  5. Work is underway as part of the project office on the robotization of economic sectors under the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies and Mass Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project office includes SMK Board member and President of the Kazakhstan Association of Automation and Robotics, Vladimir Turekhanov, and Deputy Director of the AKMI Executive Directorate, Arman Galimov.
  6. Recommendations based on the outcomes of the 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures have been formulated and submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan for approval.
  7. Cooperation with government agencies continues regarding the implementation of recommendations developed following the 12th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures.


INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION


On the sidelines of the 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry and the Czech Association of Engineering Technologies.
