The official opening of the 7th Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 International Specialized Exhibition on Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking took place at the EXPO International Exhibition Center. Meyram Pshembaev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, attended the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the opening, Meyram Pshembaev noted that today the Kazakhstan Machinery Fair is not just an equipment exhibition, but a practical platform for the technological modernization of industry.
“Here, direct meetings take place, projects are discussed, and, most importantly, participants are introduced to cutting-edge technologies. It is of fundamental importance to us that such platforms serve as a gateway for new technologies into Kazakhstan — from machine tool manufacturing to automation and robotics,” he emphasized.
Yersayin Nagaspayev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, also spoke at the opening ceremony. He emphasized that increasing the industry’s competitiveness and expanding international cooperation remain priorities of state policy.
“I am confident that the Kazakhstan Machinery Fair will serve as an effective platform for strengthening business ties, implementing joint projects, and promoting domestic products in both domestic and international markets,” the minister noted.
According to Yersayin Nagaspayev, work continues in Kazakhstan to deepen localization, introduce modern technologies, and automate production processes.
He also noted the steady growth of mechanical engineering as one of the core sectors of the manufacturing industry. Currently, there are over 4,000 enterprises operating in the sector, employing approximately 130,000 people. By the end of 2025, production volume had grown by 18% and reached 6 trillion tenge.
The exhibition is held annually and traditionally takes place in conjunction with the Kazakhstan Machine Builders Forum, forming a unified business platform for discussing the industry’s development and showcasing modern technological solutions.
The 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures will take place in Astana on April 2–3, 2026. The Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures serves as the primary platform for dialogue between the government and the business community, where a conceptual vision for the development of the machine-building and manufacturing industries is formulated. The event addresses mechanisms of state industrial policy, measures to promote import substitution, technological modernization, and the enhancement of domestic industries’ competitiveness.
Spanning more than 10,000 square meters, the exhibition features over 280 companies from 24 countries. The exhibitors present a wide range of solutions in the fields of mechanical engineering, metalworking, production process automation, and engineering modernization.
