Machine builders of Kazakhstan and Turkey agreed on cooperation
The Kazakh delegation met with representatives of machine-building enterprises in Turkey and foreign countries, reports the press service of the Association of Kazakhstan machinery industry (AKMI).
The meeting of the heads of Turkish and foreign machine-building enterprises was held on November 11 at the international machinery exhibition Win Eurasia in Istanbul. A delegation of Kazakhstan, headed by the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan machinery industry, M. Pshembaev, is taking part in the exhibition. The delegation was attended by the heads of machine-building enterprises – Chairman of the Board of Maker LLP Z.Baigabelov, General Director of Astana Electrotechnical Plant LLP A.Syzdykov, and Adviser to the Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakh Invest JSC N.Akhmetov.
The Kazakh delegation held a number of meetings with the participation of the chairman of the board of directors of the Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED) Adnan Dalgakiran, as well as heads of Turkish and foreign machinery enterprises.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the potential of bilateral cooperation and the opportunities to develop economic ties between two countries.
Chairman of the Board of the AKMI Meiram Pshembaev spoke about the development of the machine-building industry in Kazakhstan. He highlighted that the dynamics of production volumes and the volume of imports of machinery products in Kazakhstan is constantly growing which could open new avenue for Turkish partners.
The head of the AKMI said that the total import of goods to Kazakhstan in 2020 amounted to $ 38 billion. Imports of machinery products amounted to 17 billion US dollars, which is 45% of the total imports of processed goods in Kazakhstan.
“The industry has a high potential for development and investment cooperation due to the existing demand,” emphasized Meiram Pshembaev.
Also, the meeting participants were told about the prospects for industrial cooperation and mutually beneficial cooperation in oil and gas and mining and metallurgical engineering.
“We are interested in and inviting foreign investors to transfer advanced technologies and competencies, joint development of the market of Kazakhstan and in the future, extend in countries of the Eurasian Economic Union,” said the head of the AKMI.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of MAKFED Adnan Dalgakiran noted that Kazakhstan is a fraternal country and a priority partner of Turkey and expressed his readiness to consider potential projects for implementation in Kazakhstan with the attraction of investment.
In addition, the Kazakh delegation invited colleagues to the X Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufacturers and the International Specialized Exhibition on Machinery and Metalworking “Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2022”.
Following the negotiations, the Chairman of the Board of Maker LLP Z. Baigabelov signed 2 memorandums of understanding with Turkish partners – Okerel and Pres-San, aimed at establishing new long-term business partnerships, as well as implementing projects carried out jointly by Kazakhstan and Turkey in the machinery industry.
