Results of the work of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry for February 2026
In February, the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continued its systematic efforts to develop and support enterprises in the industry, engage with government agencies, and implement initiatives aimed at stimulating production activity and expanding cooperation.
KEY EVENTS OF THE MONTH
February 13
A meeting of the Committee on Machine Building and Metalworking of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan “Atameken” was held. During the meeting, issues related to the development of the industry were discussed, and work plans for 2026 were approved.
WORK WITH REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
In February, 4 meetings were held to discuss key topics and issues:
1. The registry of Kazakhstani goods producers.
2. Registration of goods in the National Goods Catalog.
3. Support measures for JSC “Export-Credit Agency of Kazakhstan.”
4. Implementation of the National Catalog of Goods (NCG).
5. Presentation of the activities of Profland-RT LLP.
6. Information on the work carried out by the Association.
WORK WITH GOVERNMENT, QUASI-GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER BODIES
- In collaboration with the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, work is underway on a draft law regarding mechanical engineering (criteria for categorizing business entities, the mechanism for appealing pilot industrial tests, the conclusion of off-take contracts within the framework of the Law “On Industrial Policy,” and dual education).
- Work is underway to improve the operational mechanisms of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers within the Sectoral Commission on Mechanical Engineering, with the aim of creating the most transparent and user-friendly tool for domestic manufacturers.
- A working meeting was held with the management of JSC “NC “KazMunayGas” on issues of cooperation.
- Cooperation with government agencies continues regarding the implementation of recommendations developed following the 12th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures. The recommendations cover a wide range of issues, including:
- supplying enterprises with domestic raw materials;
- implementing the National Industrial Information System;
- Kazakhstani Manufacturers participation in the implementation of the National Project on MECS;
- increasing labor productivity through the adoption of a policy document aimed at introducing industrial robotics, as well as stimulating the production of equipment and automation tools for priority sectors of the economy.
- Preparations are underway for the 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures, which will take place on April 2–3, 2026, in Astana.
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Efforts have been made to attract foreign companies, associations, the business community, major consumers, and leading manufacturers of machine-building products to participate in the 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures. Over 1,000 participants are expected to attend the Forum, including representatives from more than 20 countries worldwide.
