The first Kazakhstani electric bus presented in Astana
Representatives of Samruk-Kazyna, BI group, Higer Quazar companies, as well as akimat of Astana city presented the first electric bus in Kazakhstan. Within the framework of upcoming EXPO-2017 exhibition, Kazakhstan will not only demonstrate the most advanced solutions in the field of energy efficiency, but also active promotion in the field of innovations.
According to the representatives of NC “Astana EXPO-2017”, a charge-free route on electric vehicles assembled in Kazakhstan, which will run past Baiterek and facilities of EXPO to the “Green Quarter” is one of the most interesting solutions of the exhibition. “We believe that this route will be a pleasant surprise for our fellow citizens and guests of the exhibition from other countries,” they say in the national company.
The charge of battery, according to calculations by developers, is enough for 70 kilometers of the route, which will allow to drive three times along the route without recharging. The most interesting is that the latest development will enable charging the bus just in 8 minutes.
On production of new generation buses Kazakh scientists work in collaboration with Chinese specialists. The assembly is carried out in the city of Almaty. The developers promise: buses with 100% domestic content will appear on the streets of our country in few years. So far, 2 electric buses are launched in Astana under the pilot project. They will work free of charge until the end of international exhibition EXPO. By the way, currently the bus costs from $ 200 thousands.
However, the cost of its operation is much lower compared to conventional bus due to savings in fueling and maintenance. Moreover, the company “Higer Quazar” offers to build the entire charging infrastructure in the cities absolutely free of charge, which will give a powerful impulse to the development of private fleet of electric vehicles in the cities.
During the launch of this project, the critically low quality of the bus fleet in Kazakhstan was taken into account. So, the automobile park of the country totals about 100 thousand buses. It should be noted that among passenger vehicles, the share of buses that are in operation for more than 12 years is 80%. The replacement of polluting diesel buses with electric ones is a mass trend of recent times in many states, actively implementing the principles of the “green” economy.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “SEC Parasat” JSC Yerlan Stambekov said that the new electric bus was adapted for climatic conditions of Kazakhstan. “Especially under severe winter, such as in Astana. Unique software allows you to monitor the technical condition of the bus on the route, and if necessary, even manage the bus online directly from the control room. “
The head of passenger transportation department of Astana akimat Tursyngali Zhakenov believes that with the development of such projects the logistics structure in the capital will only improve.
“On behalf of the akimat, I would like to note the following: the head of state repeatedly spoke about the need to provide support in the field of development of electric transport. Within the framework of today’s memorandum, Akimat of Astana city only welcomes this kind of initiative. In all developed countries, proper conditions are now being created for the development of innovative solutions in the transport sector. We believe that environmentally friendly transport is not a distant future, but the realities of the current car market. We hope that with emergence of electric cars and electric vehicles in our city, the ecological situation will advance in the right direction. “
