Vostokmashzavod to resume production of freight cars

Vostokmashzavod JSC, one of the oldest and largest machine-building enterprises in Kazakhstan, is preparing to produce freight cars. The plant is currently undergoing active modernization of its production facilities: foundry shop No. 10 is being upgraded for the production of large railcar castings, and shop No. 6 is being prepared for the launch of finished freight car production.

These steps are aimed at reviving the enterprise and strengthening the potential of domestic machine building. Equipping the plant with modern equipment will improve product quality and expand the range of equipment produced.

Vostokmashzavod has a rich history – it was here on November 4, 1958, that the first batch of steel was smelted, marking the beginning of the plant's development. Today, the enterprise is taking a new step forward, returning to its status as one of the flagships of Kazakhstan's machine-building industry.

Along with the modernization of production, special attention is being paid to staffing. For the sustainable operation of the plant and the successful launch of new areas of activity, it is important to train qualified engineers and workers in cooperation with educational institutions in the region.

Vostokmashzavod JSC is a member of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, and its development will contribute to the implementation of tasks to strengthen the country's industrial potential and increase the share of domestic products in the heavy machinery sector.
