Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Katrina Klaas-Mühlhäuser, Chair of the Board of the German Eastern Business Association and Chair of the Supervisory Board of the CLAAS Group, discussed prospects for further strengthening Kazakh-German economic cooperation, Akorda reported.
“The Head of State thanked the Chairwoman of the Board of the German Eastern Business Association for her significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations and expressed confidence in continued support for joint initiatives and projects,” the statement said.
According to Akorda, Katrina Klaas-Mühlhofer congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan on the successful holding of the referendum on the adoption of the new Constitution.
“During the meeting, the significant potential for expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and industry was noted,” the statement indicated.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation between the two countries in sectors such as energy, mechanical engineering, the agro-industrial complex, logistics, and water resource management.
The interlocutors also discussed the agenda for the upcoming dialogue in the C5+Germany format and agreed to continue working to deepen trade and economic relations.
