Results of the work of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry for May 2026

In May, the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continued its systematic efforts to develop and support enterprises in the industry, engage with government agencies, and implement initiatives aimed at stimulating production activity and expanding cooperation.


KEY EVENTS OF THE MONTH

May 21–22 

A meeting with representatives of the region’s machine-building enterprises took place in Atyrau at the premises of the “Atameken” Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Atyrau Region.

During the meeting, the activities of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry were presented, and key issues regarding the industry’s development were discussed, including the conclusion of long-term off-take contracts, production localization, and the operation of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers.

Talgat Bazarbekov, Director of the Association’s Executive Directorate, and Deputy Director Makhambet Mendigaliev also visited machine-building enterprises in the region and held a meeting with the leadership of the Atyrau Region’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry.


May 26 

An online meeting of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry was held in Astana, during which issues related to improving the Union’s internal operations, developing cooperation with regional enterprises, and enhancing the effectiveness of support mechanisms for industry participants were discussed.


WORK WITH REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES


In May, 3 meetings were held to discuss key topics and issues:

1. The import substitution program and the mechanism for the procurement of goods, works, and services by ERG Company enterprises.

2. The goals and objectives of the National Project “Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sectors” and the use of Kazakhstani Manufacturers products during facility modernization.

3. A presentation on the activities of Railcast Systems LLP.

4. Information on the work carried out by the Association. 


WORK WITH GOVERNMENT, QUASI-GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER BODIES

 

  1. The Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted a bill on the development of the machine-building industry in its second reading. The document provides for a set of measures aimed at supporting domestic manufacturers, developing industrial cooperation, introducing modern technologies, and enhancing the competitiveness of Kazakhstani products in domestic and foreign markets. The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry participated in the discussion and development of proposals during the review of the bill.
  2. Work continues on improving the operational mechanisms of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers within the framework of the Industry Commission on Machine Building, with the aim of creating the most transparent and user-friendly tool for domestic manufacturers.
  3. A working meeting was held with representatives of JSC “NC “KazMunayGas” regarding the conclusion of off-take contracts.
  4. Work is underway with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan on assigning AGSK-3 codes within the framework of the KTP Registry for participation in the National MEX Project.
  5. Work continues as part of the project office on the robotization of economic sectors under the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project office includes AKMI Board member and President of the Kazakhstan Association of Automation and Robotics V. Turekhanov, as well as AKMI Executive Directorate Deputy Director A. Galimov.
  6. Work is underway with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to study the inclusion in the state budget of enterprises’ costs associated with the implementation of dual education.
  7. Cooperation with government agencies continues regarding the implementation of recommendations developed following the 12th and 13th Forums of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures.
