Results of the work of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry for March 2026

In March, the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continued its systematic efforts to develop and support enterprises in the industry, engage with government agencies, and implement initiatives aimed at stimulating production activity and expanding cooperation.


WORK WITH REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES


In March, 4 meetings were held to discuss key topics and issues:

1. Measures of state support provided by JSC “National Agency for Innovation Development ‘QazInnovations’.”

2. Alternative financing through the “KASE SME Qadam Bonds” program.

3. The mechanism for registering trademarks, patents, and intellectual property in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. The activities of Makinsky Foundry and Mechanical Plant LLP, Algarytm Integration LLP, and LITCOM Company LLP.

5. Information on the work carried out by the Association.

 


WORK WITH GOVERNMENT, QUASI-GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER BODIES

 

  1. In collaboration with the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, work is underway on a draft law regarding mechanical engineering (criteria for categorizing business entities, a mechanism for appealing pilot industrial tests, the conclusion of off-take contracts within the framework of the Law “On Industrial Policy,” and dual education);
  2. Work is underway to improve the operational mechanisms of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers within the Sectoral Commission on Mechanical Engineering with the aim of creating the most transparent and user-friendly tool for domestic manufacturers.
  3. Working meetings were held with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Eurasian Resources Group, JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” and JSC “NC “Kazakh Invest” regarding preparations for the 13th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan.
  4. Cooperation with government agencies continues regarding the implementation of recommendations developed following the 12th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. The recommendations cover a wide range of issues, including:
  • supplying enterprises with domestic raw materials;
  • implementation of the National Industrial Information System;
  • Kazakhstani Manufacturers participation in the implementation of the National Project on MECS;
  • increasing labor productivity through the adoption of a policy document aimed at introducing industrial robotics, as well as stimulating the production of equipment and automation tools for priority sectors of the economy.


INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION


Efforts were made to attract foreign companies, associations, the business community, major consumers, and leading manufacturers of machine-building products to participate in the 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures. The Forum, held on April 2–3, 2026, was attended by over 1,000 participants, including representatives from more than 20 countries around the world.
