Results of the work of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry for January 2026
In January, the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continued its systematic efforts to develop and support enterprises in the industry, engage with government agencies, and implement initiatives aimed at stimulating production activity and expanding cooperation.
WORK WITH REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
In January, 4 meetings were held to discuss key topics and issues:
1. Launch of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers and the participation of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry in the Industry Commission on Machine Building.
2. State support measures for business provided by JSC “Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export ‘Qazindustry’.”
3. Digital transformation of industry.
4. Presentation of the activities of Astana Electrotechnical Plant LLP.
5. Presentation of the activities of the Association “International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Machinery” aimed at increasing local content in procurement by major oil and gas field operators.
6. Presentation of the activities of the company “Sailet.”
7. Information on the work carried out by the Association.
WORK WITH GOVERNMENT, QUASI-GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER BODIES
- In collaboration with the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, work is underway on a draft law regarding mechanical engineering (criteria for categorizing business entities, a mechanism for appealing pilot industrial tests, the conclusion of off-take contracts within the framework of the Draft Law “On Industrial Policy,” and dual education).
- Work was carried out to improve the operational mechanisms of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers within the framework of the Sectoral Commission on Mechanical Engineering, with the aim of creating the most transparent and user-friendly tool for domestic manufacturers.
- Working meetings were held with the management of JSC “NC ”KTZ" and ERG, during which cooperation issues were discussed.
- Cooperation with government agencies continues regarding the implementation of recommendations developed following the 12th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. The recommendations cover a wide range of issues, including:
- supplying enterprises with domestic raw materials;
- implementation of the National Industrial Information System;
- Kazakhstani Manufacturers participation in the implementation of the National Project on MEX;
- increasing labor productivity through the adoption of a policy document aimed at introducing industrial robotics, as well as stimulating the production of equipment and automation tools for priority sectors of the economy.
- Preparations are underway for the 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures, which will take place on April 2–3, 2026, in Astana.
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Efforts have been made to attract foreign companies, associations, the business community, major consumers, and leading manufacturers of machine-building products to participate in the 13th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. Over 1,000 participants, including representatives from more than 20 countries, are expected to attend the Forum.
