The 13th Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufactures was held in Astana on April 2–3.
The main theme of the Forum was “Robotics and advanced technologies – prospects for the development of Kazakhstan's mechanical engineering industry”.
The Forum traditionally serves as a platform for dialogue between the government and the business community. This year, special attention was paid to the introduction of modern technologies into production, the development of the domestic market, and the expansion of Kazakhstani machine builders’ participation in key sectors of the economy.
The event was attended by more than 1,300 participants from over 20 countries, including Austria, Germany, Italy, the People’s Republic of China, and others.
Among the participants were Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan; members of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; representatives of relevant ministries, national companies, business communities, major consumers, and leading manufacturers of machinery products.
Concurrently with the Forum, the specialized exhibition Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 took place from April 1 to 3, bringing together more than 250 domestic and foreign companies and serving as an effective platform for B2B meetings and the development of industrial cooperation.
Over the two days of the Forum, panel sessions and breakout sessions addressed issues related to the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Machinery Industry, the improvement of support mechanisms for high-tech enterprises, the adoption of robotics and digitalization, the promotion of industry development, workforce training, and the development of promising sectors: railway, agricultural, oil and gas, electrical engineering, automotive, and mining and metallurgical machinery.
Following the Forum, off-take contracts and cooperation agreements were signed to support Kazakhstani manufacturers and develop domestic value.
