Production of Heavy Cargo Trailers to Launch in Almaty Region

Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev visited the Karasay District of the Almaty Region, where a new industrial project is planned to launch—the production of cargo trailers with a load capacity of up to 200 tons.

Production will be based at the “Altyn Taga” industrial complex, where a separate workshop has already been set up, and the delivery and installation of specialized equipment are expected in the near future. The Altyn Taga complex is one of the region’s key production facilities. It manufactures reinforced concrete poles for urban and high-voltage power lines. Average daily production exceeds 300 units, which allows the facility to meet up to 90% of the country’s investment project needs. The enterprise is implementing modern technological solutions.

“This workshop is equipped with a modern production line for PIR sandwich panels—this is the first such line we have launched in Kazakhstan. Production capacity is up to 1.5 million square meters of panels per year. The main advantage of the products is their high thermal insulation and energy efficiency, which significantly reduces heating and building operating costs. The lack of hygroscopicity ensures a service life of up to 50 years for the panels," — said Valery Ukhvatov, the company’s commercial director.

In addition, the company annually produces up to 500,000 square meters of paving slabs, approximately 6,000 units of machine-building products, more than 6,000 tons of metal structures, and up to 1.5 million square meters of sandwich panels. One of the complex’s priority development areas is the launch of heavy-duty cargo trailer production, which is of strategic importance to the domestic industry.

“We plan to establish production of cargo trailers with a load capacity of up to 200 tons. According to our estimates, up to 2,000 trailers and crane beams are imported into Kazakhstan annually, mainly from China, while the country has no domestic production of such equipment. Our goal is to supply the domestic market with high-quality products and enter the export market,” — noted the company’s director, Alisher Nurmagambet.

Currently, the enterprise employs more than 300 residents of the region. During his tour of the production facilities, Kanat Bozumbaev instructed the relevant government agencies to ensure the certification and testing of the long-haul automotive trailers and stationary lifting mechanisms being produced. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed that the reinforced concrete products manufactured at the plant be used in the modernization of irrigation networks as part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Water Sector, as well as in the upgrading of energy infrastructure during the implementation of the National MEX Project, which will increase the share of domestic content in the projects being carried out.
