The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry held its twenty-third online meeting of 2026, attended by regional representatives and companies in the industry.
During the meeting, participants discussed ways to develop the export potential of domestic manufacturers, learned about the production capabilities of a new member of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry — BNK GROUP LLP — and reviewed the latest legislative changes aimed at developing the machine-building industry.
Alisher Askarov, General Manager of the Export Acceleration Department at JSC “QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center,” spoke about the export acceleration program.
Meeting participants were introduced to a support program for small and medium-sized businesses designed to help Kazakhstani enterprises enter foreign markets. The program includes identifying foreign partners, assessing companies’ export potential, organizing B2B meetings, developing export strategies, providing marketing support, and assisting in the conclusion of export contracts.
Special attention was given to the development of the QazTrade Hub ecosystem, which brings together tools to support non-resource exports, including consulting, educational, logistics, and marketing services. The program’s priority sectors include mechanical engineering, metallurgy, the chemical industry, agriculture, construction materials, IT services, and other areas.
The presentation also outlined the criteria for selecting companies to participate in the export acceleration program, including financial stability, the availability of production capacity, compliance of products with international standards, and organizational readiness for export activities.
The second item on the agenda was a presentation on the production capabilities of BNK GROUP LLP.
The company’s director, Niyazali Beisenbaev, spoke about the company’s operations and ongoing projects. BNK Group is one of the largest manufacturers of irrigation systems in Central Asia and has been actively developing domestic production since 2023. The company manufactures sprinkler machines, drip irrigation systems, agricultural machinery, and equipment. The company also manufactures lightweight thin-walled steel structures, sandwich panels, capsule and modular structures, and implements projects for commercial dairy farms. The company’s production facility covers 30,000 square meters and employs approximately 150 specialists.
In addition, meeting participants were informed about amendments to legislation on the development of the machine-building industry, signed by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on June 24.
The legislative changes were initiated as part of a systematic effort to develop the domestic machine-building industry and enhance the effectiveness of government support measures for the sector.
Yerkhanat Makanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, noted that the Association actively participated in drafting the legislative amendments in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Construction, the Drafting Office of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and industry organizations.
The adopted amendments provide for the introduction of industrial clusters eligible for state support, improving the efficiency of special economic zones, refining the regulation of the circulation of scrap and waste from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and introducing KPIs for subsoil users regarding the fulfillment of off-take contracts.
Meeting participants emphasized that the development of export activities, the expansion of production cooperation, and the improvement of the regulatory framework remain key conditions for enhancing the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s machine-building industry in both domestic and foreign markets.
