Changes have been made to the Rules for the Provision of State Incentives to Industry, reports the Kazinform agency, citing the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Energy, in collaboration with the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Engineering, continues systematic efforts to increase the share of local content in goods and services during the implementation of major international oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan.
— As part of this work, amendments have been made to the Rules for the Provision of State Incentives to Industry, aimed at promoting domestic goods, works, and services in the domestic market. In particular, the reimbursement threshold for the costs of obtaining international certification for domestic manufacturers has been increased from 3,000 to 15,000 MPR. The program’s total budget exceeds 2 billion tenge, the ministry reported.
As noted by the Ministry of Energy, these measures will allow for the reimbursement of costs up to 60 million tenge, which will significantly reduce the financial burden on businesses and the risks associated with international certification. Obtaining the relevant certificates will expand opportunities for Kazakhstani manufacturers to participate in procurement by oil and gas operators, as well as increase export potential, helping to reduce dependence on imports.
