A meeting with the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus took place at the Ministry of Industry and Construction

Yersayin Nagaspayev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held talks with Andrei Kuznetsov, Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the industrial sector, paying particular attention to collaboration in the field of mechanical engineering, including the creation of new joint production facilities, as well as the expansion of existing enterprises.

To date, the portfolio of projects with the Republic of Belarus comprises 14 projects worth over $200 million.

The participation of the Kazakh delegation in the INNOPROM exhibition, to be held on September 29–30 of this year in Minsk, has been agreed upon.

A separate item on the agenda was the discussion of preparations for the meeting of the Kazakhstan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which will take place on October 22 of this year in Astana.

The parties reaffirmed previously reached agreements on the development of a Roadmap for Industrial Cooperation, which includes the expansion of trade and economic cooperation and the localization of production in the metallurgy, machine-building, chemical, and construction materials industries.
