The implementation of the President’s directive on economic diversification and the development of domestic production is yielding tangible results. This was reported at a Government meeting by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin. The manufacturing sector showed an overall growth of 5.9% over the first 11 months. By subsector, mechanical engineering emerged as the clear leader, with production volumes increasing by 11.6%. Positive trends were also recorded in other key sectors: food production grew by 8.7%, the chemical industry increased by 8.1%, and oil refining by 6.5%.
“The growth in investment and production in these sectors is directly linked to large-scale state support. Through the Baiterek Holding alone, funding for priority areas during this period amounted to more than 8 trillion tenge,” noted Serik Zhumangarin.
