Today, thanks to the high professionalism and diligent work of the Zenit shipyard team, we are launching the largest vessel in Kazakhstan. The ship has been named after the statesman and public figure Dinmukhamed Kunaev. I am confident that the crew will selflessly serve the cause of strengthening our defense capabilities. “I wish you success!” noted Nariman Turegaliev.
This is the 37th vessel built by Zenit. Its displacement is 720 tons. The cargo hold volume is 30 cubic meters.
According to Vitaly Kaplunov, CEO of Zenit Ural Plant JSC, the vessel has a top speed of 16 knots. It is 51 meters long and 9.5 meters wide. It is capable of withstanding storms up to force 8. All employees of the enterprise participated in the project.
The multi-purpose vessel is designed to supply ships and boats of the Kazakhstani Navy with diesel fuel, drinking water, food, and other logistical supplies.
The crew consists of about 30 people. Comfortable living conditions have been created for the crew.
It is noted that before setting sail, the vessel must pass under a bridge, so the mast will be installed while still in the port of Aktau.
