During the official visit of Estonian President Alar Karis to Kazakhstan and his meeting with Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, an agreement was signed to establish a joint venture in Kazakhstan for the production of heat exchange, storage, and industrial equipment in Kazakhstan between the Kazakh Alageum Electric Group of Companies and Tallinn Machine Building Plant (Tallinna Masinatehas).
As noted by the Alageum Electric press service, the document confirms the parties' intentions to localize the production of high-tech European-level heat exchange and industrial equipment in Kazakhstan. The joint venture will become a new industrial cluster in the country's energy and oil and gas engineering sector, providing products for infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan and export markets in Central Asia.
The Tallinn Machine Building Plant has more than 50 years of experience in the production of heat exchange equipment, including air cooling systems for the energy, oil and gas, and heavy industries. The company is one of Northern Europe's recognized technology leaders in this field.
Representatives of the Kazakh and Estonian delegations noted the strategic importance of the agreement, emphasizing that the project opens up new opportunities for expanding industrial cooperation, technological exchange, and the development of engineering competencies at Kazakh enterprises.
"We have been specializing in the production of heat exchange and storage equipment for over 50 years, and our products are also well known in Kazakhstan. Today, we see serious potential for joining forces with Alageum Electric. The creation of a joint venture will allow us to consolidate our experience and technologies, localize production in Kazakhstan, and offer the market high-quality equipment designed with the needs of local customers in mind. I am confident that the synergy of our competencies and Alageum's production capabilities will form the basis of a strong and competitive product," said Vadim Martynov, CEO and shareholder of Tallinn Machine Building Plant.
Alageum Electric is Kazakhstan's leading electrical engineering company, comprising 30 enterprises and more than 4,500 employees. The holding company manufactures transformers, electrical systems, and substations, and also provides comprehensive solutions for the energy and industrial sectors.
"The partnership with Tallinn Machine Building Plant will be an important step in expanding our holding company's expertise and diversifying our production line. It will enable us to establish a domestic manufacturer of advanced heat exchange systems in Kazakhstan, open up access to high-quality local products for the industry, expand export opportunities, and create new jobs and opportunities for the development of engineering specialists," added Yerkeulan Ilyasov.
