Deputy Director of the Project Department of JSC “NC KAZAKH INVEST” Isa Kudabekov held a meeting with the management of the Dutch company Repa Conveyor Equipment B.V., part of Repa Group and specializing in the production of components for conveyor systems.
The parties discussed a project to establish a plant in Karaganda region for the production of conveyor rollers for belt conveyors serving the coal, mining, and construction industries. The project provides for equipping the enterprise with modern production lines, organizing logistics and storage of finished products, as well as introducing international quality standards.
The investment volume is estimated at USD 5 million. Production launch is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, with plans to create new jobs and form a basis for exporting products to the EAEU and Central Asian countries.
Isa Kudabekov emphasized that the localization of European companies’ production in Kazakhstan contributes to the development of the country’s industrial potential, reduces dependence on imports, and promotes the creation of new export niches.
Founder and Director of Repa Conveyor Equipment Richard van der Laan noted that the use of Dutch technologies will make it possible to launch an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient production facility in Kazakhstan, focused on long product life and cost reduction for industrial companies.
