Implementation of the President’s directive to build the country’s industrial framework: the manufacturing sector grew by 6.1% in 2025, with production volume exceeding 16 trillion tenge

At the instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Government is carrying out comprehensive work to create a solid industrial foundation for the country. Particular attention is being paid to supporting domestic manufacturers and developing the manufacturing sector.

Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspayev noted that the results of industrialization demonstrate steady growth in the manufacturing sector.

“As of the first seven months of this year, the manufacturing sector has already grown by 6.1%, and production volume has reached over 16 trillion tenge. I would like to note here that the manufacturing sector’s share of the economy has increased to 13.9%,” the minister said.

Financial support instruments are being used to stimulate the growth of domestic production.

“We are actively working to stimulate the growth of our local, domestic manufacturers: 500 billion tenge to support 115 manufacturing industry projects. This was carried out through development institutions such as the Baiterek Holding,” emphasized Yersayin Nagaspayev.

In addition, priority in government procurement is given to Kazakhstani manufacturers: over the first seven months of 2025, the volume of procurement increased 1.5-fold and exceeded 1.2 trillion tenge.

Another important support tool is the unified Register of Kazakhstani Goods Producers, which will increase procurement transparency and help eliminate fake manufacturers. Its launch is scheduled for this fall.
