The first batch of finished products was shipped from the forging and bandaging complex of the Railways Systems KZ railway holding

The forging and bandaging complex of the RWS KZ holding, launched in April, shipped its first cars with finished products. 320 solid-rolled wheels of type 957/190, intended for freight cars and railway container platforms, were sent to Petropavlovsk.

The first shipment of finished products – 160 solid-rolled wheels – took place on October 25, and the next batch of the same quantity was assembled on October 28. The wheels are intended for freight cars and railway container platforms and will be used in the production of rolling stock by the RWS KZ holding company. The products were manufactured entirely at the new plant in October this year.

In November, 800 solid-rolled wheels of the same type are scheduled to be shipped. Another important milestone during this period will be the certification tests for the production of rough axles. All work is being carried out in accordance with the approved production schedule.

The launch of a full production cycle is planned for 2026, which will include the production of rough railway axles, tyres, and stamped products.

At the current stage, the plant is meeting the company's internal needs, with plans to expand its customer base and enter export markets in the future.

Unique new-generation production

The forging and bandaging complex of the Railways Systems KZ railway holding was launched in April this year. The production facility was created in accordance with Industry 4.0 standards. Its capacity is more than 160,000 units per year – bandages, axles, and gear wheel blanks.

The complex is equipped with a robotic automatic line and modern CNC equipment from Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic. This completely eliminates manual adjustment, increases accuracy, minimizes waste, and significantly reduces production costs.

The thermal equipment from Andritz MAERZ GmbH (Germany) complies with the American API 6A standard, which is used in the production of fittings for the oil and gas industry.

Robotic systems play a key role in production processes, improving not only the quality and speed of operations, but also the level of occupational safety, which is a priority for the company.

Meeting domestic demand and export potential

The complex's production capacity will fully meet Kazakhstan's domestic demand for forged and banded products not only for the railway industry, but also for mechanical engineering in general – from rough bandages and axles to gear wheel blanks.

The project will make a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan's machine-building industry and strengthen the position of domestic production in the international market.
