The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry strengthens international cooperation with Austria and Switzerland

Meyram Pshembayev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, took part in the 5th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Switzerland Business Council. The event was chaired by Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Guy Parmelin, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation, Federal Councilor, and Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education, and Research.

The meeting was organized by JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and Stadler Rail AG with the support of JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST.

The co-chairs of the business council are Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KTZ, and Peter Spuler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stadler Rail Group.

Representatives of more than 25 leading Swiss companies and industry organizations, including Stadler, SwissMEM, JCC, Economiesuisse, and Kühne + Nagel, also participated in the council's work. The Kazakh side was represented by key national companies and industry associations.

Stadler is actively operating in Kazakhstan and has localized the entire production cycle of passenger cars at the Stadler Kazakhstan plant in Astana. The company is supplying 557 cars and providing 20 years of technical maintenance, which will be an important step in the modernization of Kazakhstan's railway industry.

As part of the council, Meyram Pshembayev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, and Stefan Brubach, Director of SwissMEM, the Swiss Technology Industry Association, signed a memorandum on cooperation and collaboration in the field of mechanical engineering. The document aims to develop cooperation, exchange experience, introduce modern engineering solutions, and expand international partnerships in the field of mechanical engineering.

In addition, Meyram Pshembayev held a meeting with the Austrian delegation at the Samruk-Kazyna JSC site. During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation and collaboration with the Austrian Railway Industry Association was signed.

It is worth noting that Meyram Pshembayev is co-chair of the Kazakhstan-Austria Business Council, which gives particular significance to the development of bilateral industry initiatives.

The signed documents open up new opportunities for the development of industrial cooperation, the expansion of export and technological capabilities of Kazakhstani enterprises, and the introduction of advanced technologies into the machine-building industry of Kazakhstan.

The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continues to build international ties aimed at modernizing the industry and increasing the competitiveness of domestic machine building.
