The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry presents AETZ’s manufacturing capabilities and discusses issues related to the register of goods producers

The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry held its first online meeting of the year, attended by regional representatives and industry partners. During the meeting, issues related to the development of industrial cooperation were reviewed, the production capabilities of domestic enterprises were presented, and the progress of launching the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers was discussed.

Askar Syzdykov, CEO of Astana Electrotechnical Plant LLP (AETZ), delivered a report on the company’s activities.

“Today, AETZ offers comprehensive turnkey solutions: from design to installation of electrical equipment with voltages ranging from 0.4 to 110 kV. We are focused on industrial cooperation and are ready to expand our collaboration with domestic enterprises,” noted Askar Syzdykov.

The Astana Electrical Engineering Plant is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical equipment in Kazakhstan. The company’s production facilities cover 15,500 square meters, and its staff exceeds 270 highly qualified specialists. Over the course of its operations, the company has completed more than 2,600 projects for civil and industrial facilities.

The company manufactures a wide range of products, including turnkey transformer substations of various types, power distribution panels, high-voltage switchgear, low-voltage switchgear, distribution cabinets, and relay protection and automation equipment. AETZ products are used in residential construction, the energy sector, industry, the mining sector, and agriculture.

The plant collaborates with the country’s leading companies, including the construction firms BI Group and BAZIS-A, Kazakhmys, KAZ Minerals, and AgromashHolding KZ.

A separate segment of the meeting was devoted to discussing the launch of the Register of Kazakhstani Manufacturers. Marat Musin, manager of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, who also participates in the work of the Industry Commission on Machine Building, presented the information.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Construction, more than 800 applications have been accepted for review to date. However, the functionality for justifying rejections of applications is still being finalized, which requires further coordination with the authorized body.

“We are noting a large number of comments regarding the submitted documentation, particularly regarding the completeness of the document package and video recording of the production process. These issues require methodological clarification and fine-tuning of procedures,” noted Marat Musin.

The meeting participants emphasized the need to improve the Registry’s operational mechanisms in order to reduce the administrative burden on businesses and ensure the transparency of procedures.

The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry expressed its readiness to continue working with the authorized body and the industry community to refine the Registry’s procedures and create a tool that is as transparent and user-friendly as possible for domestic manufacturers.
