Each solar panel undergoes a series of mandatory tests, including checking the integrity of the photovoltaic cells before and after lamination, the quality of the copper busbar soldering, and compliance with the declared power on a sunlight simulator.
At the meeting, Talgat Bazarbekov, director of the Association's executive directorate, also informed the participants about the work that had been done.
On December 3, a meeting was held with the management of JSC “NC ”Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" dedicated to issues of expanding the participation of domestic manufacturers in the procurement of the national company, implementing a program to create new production facilities and developing import substitution. An agreement was reached to create a joint working group. In the near future, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy will provide a list of requirements for purchased products, as well as a pool of commodity items for import substitution for 2026. After receiving the data, the Union will send the information to enterprises for consideration of possible participation in projects and the conclusion of off-take contracts.
Active work is also underway with Kazatomprom JSC. Seven enterprises participating in the Association (MER LLP, Petropavlovsk Heavy Machinery Plant JSC, Agromir, Eurasian Mechanical Plant, Pavlodar Pipe Fittings Plant, Inkar-1, and Metal Onim LLP) have submitted proposals for an updated pool of import-substituting products for 55 commodity items.
Specialists from Kazatomprom's subsidiaries visited the enterprises to assess their production potential, study the possibilities for localization, and ensure that the products meet technical requirements. Company representatives announced the parameters and specifics of the products' application and will soon provide manufacturers with the necessary technical documentation and testing opportunities.
“The work carried out has made it possible to form an objective understanding of the potential of the enterprises and to determine further steps in the implementation of localization projects. Kazatomprom has confirmed its readiness to continue cooperation with the Union within the framework of the current program to promote the creation of new production facilities and the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation,” said Talgat Bazarbekov.
