The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry held Its 31st meeting with regional representatives

The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry held its 31st meeting with regional representatives, during which current issues regarding cooperation among machine-building enterprises and the development of the industry were discussed.

One of the main items on the agenda was the procedure for submitting documents to KazNIISA JSC for the inclusion of products in the Republic of Kazakhstan’s AGSK-3 cost-and-standard database, “List of Building Structures, Products, and Materials.”

Yerkanat Makanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, noted the importance of the document for domestic manufacturers:

“The AGSK-3 list is used in the construction sector when developing design and cost estimate documentation. Its use is also planned within the framework of the National Project ‘Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sectors.’ For domestic enterprises, this is a significant tool for market integration: it is planned to assign product codes as early as the application stage for inclusion in the register of Kazakhstani manufacturers,” noted Yerkhanat Makanov.

Arman Khassen, Director of the Center for Construction Standardization at the Astana branch of KazNIISA JSC, explained the document submission process to the meeting participants and answered the most pressing questions regarding the procedure for including products in the database.

At the same time, Association members highlighted a number of issues: the lack of clear instructions for submitting documents, long wait times for feedback, the need for repeated revisions of submitted documents, opaque product requirements, and the use of average prices that do not reflect manufacturers’ actual costs for raw materials, logistics, and energy.

Also during the meeting, Vyacheslav Buynitsky, Director of Temirtau Foundry LLP, presented the company’s capabilities. The plant specializes in manufacturing spare parts for crushing and grinding equipment used in the mining industry, aggregate plants, and quarries. The company has the capacity to produce castings weighing up to 3 tons, uses gas-permeable pattern casting technology, and provides reverse engineering and machining services for parts. All products undergo a multi-stage quality control process, including laboratory testing.

Meetings of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry with regional representatives are held weekly and serve as an important platform for exchanging experience, discussing current issues, and developing solutions aimed at the development of the country’s machine-building industry.
