The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry held its thirteenth online meeting of 2026, attended by regional representatives, machine-building enterprises, and industry partners. During the meeting, technical issues regarding the functioning of the Register of Kazakhstani Commodity Producer and the development of local production were reviewed.
One of the key items on the agenda was the mechanisms for evaluating enterprises included in the Register. The assessment is conducted automatically every three months based on digital data, which allows for the prompt identification of genuine manufacturers and the exclusion of unscrupulous companies.
The scoring is based on data from government information systems, including tax reports, information on taxes paid, employment levels, and other indicators of financial and economic activity. This approach allows for an objective assessment of enterprises’ activities and confirms the presence of indicators of actual production.
“With the introduction of the Registry, enterprises will be scored every three months, based on which a decision will be made regarding their continued inclusion in the registry of Kazakhstani goods producers. The scoring confirms the existence of production activities,” noted Talgat Bazarbekov, Director of the Executive Directorate of the AKMI.
According to Denis Svirsky, the system operates automatically: data is received from the information systems of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, after which a final score is generated that reflects the company’s level of compliance with the established criteria. This ensures the transparency of procedures, reduces the administrative burden on businesses, and minimizes the role of subjective judgment in decision-making.
A presentation on the production capacity of StalZink LLP was also given during the meeting. Founded in 2007 in Astana, the company is the only full-cycle enterprise in Kazakhstan engaged in the production and hot-dip galvanizing of metal structures.
The company’s main areas of activity include the production of road guardrails, power line towers, metal structures for the electric power industry, and antenna and mast structures. Its production capacity allows for the manufacture of up to 32,000 tons of finished products per year, while its hot-dip galvanizing capacity reaches 20,000 tons.
A key advantage of the company is the complete localization of production within Kazakhstan using domestic raw materials, including products from KazZinc and Qarmet. Production is carried out in accordance with international standards, including GOST requirements for corrosion protection, which ensures a service life of up to 50 years for the products.
The company also provides custom design solutions tailored to individual orders, targeting both the domestic market and export markets. Its well-developed logistics infrastructure enables deliveries by road and rail.
Meeting participants noted that the introduction of the digital Registry and scoring system will mark an important stage in the development of the machine-building industry. The new mechanisms are aimed at increasing market transparency, supporting conscientious manufacturers, and encouraging the localization of production.
