The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry held its twenty-second online meeting of 2026, attended by regional representatives and machine-building enterprises.
One of the key items on the agenda was a discussion of the implementation of the System for Confirmation of Expected Delivery of Goods (SPOT), which will become mandatory as of July 1, 2026, for shipments of goods by road from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to the Russian Federation.
Zhanna Tileubekova, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Integration at the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, provided information on the new requirements. Meeting participants were briefed on the main stages of the system’s implementation, the procedure for preparing documents, and the specifics of interaction between exporters, importers, and carriers.
It was noted that under SPOT, the Russian importer is responsible for processing the documentation; they are required to submit the relevant notification in advance, make a security deposit, and obtain a QR code for the subsequent transport of the cargo. Particular attention was paid to issues related to preparing export shipments, interacting with Russian counterparties, and organizing logistics processes under the new conditions.
During the discussion, company representatives received clarification on the practical aspects of using the system and possible changes to procedures for supplying products to the Russian market.
The meeting also featured a presentation by the international company LNS — one of the world’s leading manufacturers of peripheral equipment for metal-cutting machine tools. The company presented state-of-the-art solutions for improving the productivity and efficiency of lathes and machining centers.
LNS representatives discussed the company’s areas of activity, its international experience in project implementation, and the potential for applying modern technological solutions at enterprises in the machine-building industry. Today, the company operates eight production sites and markets its solutions in more than 65 countries worldwide.
Meeting participants noted the importance of keeping enterprises informed in a timely manner about new requirements in foreign markets, as well as the need to implement modern technological solutions to enhance the competitiveness of domestic products and develop the export potential of the machine-building industry.
