The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry discussed enhancing cooperation with Regional Industry Enterprises

An online meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry was held in Astana, during which participants discussed ways to improve the Union’s internal operations, strengthen cooperation with regional enterprises, and enhance the effectiveness of support mechanisms for industry participants.

Opening the meeting, Association Board Chairman Meyram Pshembaev emphasized the importance of increasing regional involvement in the Association’s work and improving industry support tools.

During the meeting, Board members reviewed the implementation of the Association’s 2025 budget, amendments and additions to the Regulations on Regional Representatives, and the approval of the updated roster of the Association’s regional representatives.

Special attention was paid to improving the institution of regional representatives. In particular, amendments and additions to the Regulations on Regional Representatives were reviewed, aimed at increasing the effectiveness of their activities, strengthening mechanisms for interaction with enterprises and local executive bodies, and introducing additional tools for monitoring the results of their work. To update the document, the Association’s Executive Directorate conducted a systematic analysis of current practices and prepared a revised version of the Regulations.

A separate item on the agenda was the approval of the updated roster of the Association’s regional representatives. Twenty-one candidates were submitted for consideration by the Board, of whom 11 are incumbent representatives who have had their terms confirmed, and 10 are new candidates. All candidates meet the requirements of the Regulations and represent all regions of the country.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening representation in the western regions of Kazakhstan, which possess significant potential in the oil and gas and machine-building sectors. Most candidates hold leadership positions - CEOs, directors, and board chairmen of companies in the industry.

One of the key items on the agenda was a discussion of approaches to improving support mechanisms for Association members.

As noted by Talgat Bazarbekov, Director of the Association’s Executive Directorate, the decisions adopted are aimed at increasing the transparency of internal processes, strengthening cooperation with enterprises in the machine-building industry, and creating additional incentives to involve businesses in the development of industry-wide cooperation.
