The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry congratulated Valentin Shcherbakov, Hero of Socialist Labor.

As part of the events dedicated to Labor Day and Machine Builder's Day, the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry congratulated Valentin Petrovich Shcherbakov, the only Hero of Socialist Labor living in Astana.

Valentin Petrovich, born in 1936, has devoted his entire life to serving his homeland. During the period of virgin lands development, working as a master driver in the Tselinograd Freight Transport Administration of the Kazakh SSR, he was one of the first to introduce the advanced practice of transporting cargo by road trains weighing up to 80 tons. This made it possible to significantly increase transport volumes and reduce delivery times. Setting an absolute record, he fulfilled his personal five-year plan in three and a half years.

For his outstanding work, Valentin Petrovich Shcherbakov was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1976. Even after retiring, he continued to work and drive trucks until the age of 79.

Deputy Chairman of the AKMI Board Erkanat Makanov warmly congratulated Valentin Petrovich on his professional holiday, Machine Builder's Day, and presented him with a letter of gratitude from the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, Meyram Pshembayev. He noted the veteran's enormous contribution to the development of the industry and emphasized that his life path is an example of hard work and patriotism for the younger generation.
