The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, together with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan, held an online meeting with representatives of Iranian companies.
On the Iranian side, participants included representatives from the Asia and Oceania Department of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, the Federation of Machinery and Equipment Industry, the Association of Oil Industry Equipment Manufacturers, and the Association of Auto Parts and Components Manufacturers.
The parties discussed ways to develop industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Iran, including the establishment of joint ventures, the development of investment projects, technology transfer, and personnel training.
Executive Director of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry Talgat Bazarbekov noted:
“Kazakhstan offers various investor support measures, special economic zones, and tax incentives. We are ready to actively involve enterprises from both countries in joint projects. Iran and Kazakhstan are oil-producing nations, and we have strong potential to establish joint production of equipment for the oil and gas industry.”
The Iranian side emphasized that Kazakhstan and Iran have remained reliable partners over the years in the oil and gas industry, energy, agriculture, and transport engineering.
Representatives of Iranian organizations expressed their willingness to supply and transfer technologies, as well as to establish joint production facilities in Kazakhstan for automotive components – including gearboxes, polymer and rubber parts, assemblies and units, and equipment for agricultural and industrial machinery.
According to the Iranian side, Kazakhstan has significant potential to serve as a gateway to EAEU and CIS markets.
Following the online meeting, the parties agreed to explore the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, the creation of a working group to exchange proposals, and to consider the training of Kazakh specialists at Iranian mechanical engineering enterprises.
The meeting became an important step toward strengthening the partnership between Kazakhstan and Iran, opening up new opportunities for industrial cooperation and the development of joint investment projects.
