Amanat Party Faction on the Importance of Ensuring Equal Access to Domestic Raw Materials for Machine Builders

Majilis Deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and member of the Amanat Party faction Yerlan Sairov drew attention today during a Majilis meeting to the need for transparent and equal access for domestic machine-building enterprises to raw materials produced in Kazakhstan.

According to the deputy, the party has received numerous appeals from machine-building enterprises expressing concern about the lack of full access to domestic raw resources. Despite the presence of domestic producers of rolled metal products, current regulatory documents do not classify them as raw materials eligible for state support mechanisms.

Yerlan Sairov proposed aligning subordinate acts with the Law “On Industrial Policy”, improving the pricing mechanism, and ensuring equal conditions for all participants in the industrial supply chain. He also emphasized the need to expedite amendments to the Code on Subsoil and Subsoil Use, introducing provisions that hold subsoil users accountable for failing to fulfill obligations related to the development of in-country value.

In addition, he stressed the importance of establishing a transparent electronic procurement system, which would ensure equal access for domestic manufacturers to public tenders.
