AgroMash and John Deere to launch a $2.5 billion agricultural machinery production project

On November 6, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with John Deere's President for the CIS and Central Asia, Chaba Leiko, Zakon.kz reports.

The President of Kazakhstan called the partnership with John Deere a striking example of successful industrial cooperation, reflecting a shared commitment to the development of modern and efficient agricultural production.

The head of state supported John Deere's decision to localize the production of agricultural machinery in partnership with the Kazakhstani Agromash plant.

This cooperation has already yielded tangible results: since production began in May this year, more than 290 units of equipment have been assembled. Another 100 units are expected to be produced by the end of the year.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also welcomed the signing of a $2.5 billion strategic partnership agreement during his current visit to the United States.

The document provides for the production of at least 3,000 units of John Deere agricultural equipment over five years at the facilities of AgromashHolding KZ JSC. In addition, it is planned to create at least three service centers and develop a staff training system.

Earlier, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chevron Chairman Michael Wirth.
