The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry held its 40th meeting with regional representatives and industry partners. During the online meeting, current issues of tax policy and the development of cooperation with domestic manufacturers were discussed.
Elmira Osipova, Deputy Director of the Fiscal Policy Center at the Institute for Economic Research, spoke about the main provisions of the new Tax Code. During the meeting, changes to key types of taxes were discussed, including corporate income tax, value added tax, personal income tax, and social tax.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry Yerkhanat Makanov noted the Association's work with the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the application of the Rules for changing the terms of VAT payment on imported goods, with the exception of goods imported from the territory of EAEU member states (raw materials and supplies) used by domestic producers in the production of finished products.
"An agreement has been reached on the introduction of a single 12-month VAT deferral period for enterprises included in the register of domestic commodity producers. Currently, joint work is underway with the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to form a list of goods and manufacturers involved in production processes," said Yerkhanat Makanov.
During the meeting, Ruslan Dasayev, Commercial Director of PROLUX LED LLP, presented the company's activities to the participants and spoke about opportunities for cooperation with domestic machine-building enterprises.
PROLUX LED is Kazakhstan's first manufacturer of energy-saving LED lighting systems. For more than 10 years, the company has been producing lighting fixtures and lamps for industrial facilities in the oil and gas and mining industries, production premises, facades, streets, bridges, railway platforms, offices, and residential buildings. Today, the company manufactures up to 80 product items, and its production capacity allows it to produce up to 120,000 lamps and 80,000 luminaires per year.
The company is a 100% Kazakhstani enterprise with a local content share in its products of up to 65%.
The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continues its systematic work to develop the country's industrial potential, strengthen cooperation between domestic manufacturers, and improve the effectiveness of interaction with government agencies.
