The 32nd meeting with regional representatives was held at the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, during which topical issues of cooperation between enterprises and the development of the machine-building industry were discussed.
One of the key topics of the meeting was the discussion of issues related to accident insurance for employees and reducing the level of informal employment. Maksat Duisenov, head of the Labor Inspection Department for the city of Astana, emphasized that employers are required to conclude employment contracts, enter data into the Unified System for Accounting for Employment Contracts on the Electronic Labor Exchange portal, and insure employees against accidents. Failure to comply with these regulations is subject to administrative liability.
In addition, the authorized body conducts regular analyses to identify discrepancies between pension and social security contributions made by enterprises. In this regard, Maksat Duisenov called on employers to closely monitor labor relations and insure employees against accidents in a timely manner.
Yerkhanat Makanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, noted that enterprises in the machine-building industry generally comply with the requirements of the law, apply both compulsory and voluntary insurance, thereby increasing their social responsibility towards employees.
During the meeting, Kanybek Aitakov, CEO of LED Solutions LLP, presented the company's products. Founded in 2010 and located in the Astana New City Special Economic Zone, the company manufactures LED equipment with a multi-stage quality control system and a warranty of up to 10 years. Today, LED Solutions is one of the leading companies in Central Asia in the field of professional lighting.
Special attention was paid to issues of cooperation between Association members and the supply of raw materials and supplies to enterprises. The Association is working with the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Qarmet JSC on the supply of ferrous metallurgy products, and is also involved in developing rules for concluding off-take contracts and long-term agreements with subsoil users.
Cooperation with the Industrial Development Fund JSC on leasing transactions to provide JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and its subsidiaries with domestic rail transport was also discussed. The initial members of the Association are ZIKSTO JSC and Kazakhstan Railcar Building Company LLP. The leasing agreements will include reciprocal obligations for Kazakhstan's car building enterprises to use domestic components. The first deals are planned to be concluded in the near future.
The Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry continues to work to strengthen cooperation with government agencies and enterprises for the comprehensive development of domestic machine building.
